The majority of (global) supply chains are being seriously disrupted or under great pressure. The COVID-19 pandemic is reversing globalization. Supply chain strategies that aimed at (global) efficiency are not working anymore. Clearly, traditional supply chain thinking no longer applies. The challenge in the coming years will be to move your supply chain into the future and make it more resilient.

This webinar will provide you with hands-on answers to questions such as:

• What are the lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis?

• What are the current supply chain models and strategies?

• What should supply chains look like post COVID-19?

About the lecturers

Prof. Dr. Tom Van Woensel is a Full Professor Operations and Supply Chain Management at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven University of Technology. At Antwerp Management School, Tom is responsible for the top ranked (Financial Times) Master after Master program on Global Supply Chain Management. As the Director of the European Supply Chain Forum, a collaborative network of approximately 50 globally operating multinational companies, Tom has access to the latest changes and challenges in the field of SCM.

Edwin Wenink obtained a Business Administration degree, specialized in Logistics Management, at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He worked for HOYER GmbH, YACHT Management and Royal FloraHolland. He supports organizations in innovating supply chain and logistics processes, by inspiring people to collaborate with all stakeholders, both inside and outside their organization. In 2015, he was elected Logistics Manager of the Year 2014. Edwin became self-employed in 2019 and works with Schiphol, Eindhoven University of Technology, Ewals Cargo Care and Hardt Hyperloop. His mission is to “connect people and their supply chains”, to be able to push innovation forward and make the difference.
